My new fish

I bought a new fish off an auction site last week. It was a silver shark and its about 8 inches long and was a bargain!! He has settled right in as these like to be in a shoal he has decided he is now a Clown Loach as I have got a small group of these. In the future I do plan to get a few more silver sharks for it so he has got some of his own.
I have got a Trigon 190 so knew my tank is big enough at the moment but next year I'm hoping to upgrade to a 6ft tank to fit in the same place my tank is in at the moment. I so cant wait to see them in it and get some more fish's for it but will have to wait until the tank has matured enough for more fish than what I have got.
I actually had some eggs off the angels two days ago which now means I have definitely got a pair of angels so I just feel sorry for the one left out now. Unfortunately the pair ate the eggs which is quite common in a community tank as this happened quite frequently in my Mum and Dad's tank.
I have also got a trio of bristle nose plec's with two of their babies but these have never breed in my tank yet so I'm still hopping they may do in the future.
I have got a fake Giraffe in my tank who is getting fatter and bigger but is nearly at his full length which I love as he is so different with his markings and they have a wide mouth which is strangely cute. He loves sifting through the sand looking for food.
The next fish I would like in the future probably in the bigger tank are knife fish which are so interesting to watch swimming as they move so differently, some more different  sorts of plec's as you can get some amazing colours in these, elephant nose which love sand too and have a trunk like face and maybe some nice cichlid's with already having the angels that are in the cichlid family.

This Weekend

This weekend has been and is absolutely glorious!! I can't believe how hot it is!!! My children have got the paddling pool out with it being so hot!! My brother came round yesterday with his children which was really nice and lovely!!
The bonus of the ground being so dry in this warm weather is that weeds are very easy to pull out and with us having a big garden there is quite a few!!!  All my animals are sunning themselves as we speak!! I'm so up to date with my washing that I am washing everything else so its nice and fresh with drying outside and not inside!!  I just hope it is this nice in two weeks time for my kids birthday party! They are having a bouncy castle outside so fingers crossed otherwise I will have 20 bored children!! But then again I could always do a party with the animals so the children could stroke them and ask my about them!! Hmmm very good back up idea me thinks!!

Fathers Day

I hope everyone had a great Fathers Day on Sunday of Fathers still with us and others that are watching over us. We had a nice one my partner opened his cards and gifts from the kids and then we went to see our parents to give them their goodies. When my partners Dad was looking at what he had got my youngest was telling him what was in it and that she had chosen the card so I think next time I wont take her with me after her telling him everything!! They are so cute and sweet when they are that age as they are so innocent and don't realise what they are doing.
I still cant believe she will be starting school in September!!!! Where has the time gone it has gone so fast it only seems like yesterday I was pregnant!! The saying "Time flies when your having fun" is so true its scary!!! Well I need to finish this one quick as its my partners girls birthday on Saturday and I need to wrap her presents!!

Cinderella

I thought I would tell you all about my day with Cinderella my little daughters hamster. I was asked to take her in to a local school where I work on a voluntary basis. I took her up in her little cage and had little groups of children to talk about what she likes doing what they can see, smell and touch to help get the children's senses going. They were all so good and so was Cinderella. She let them all stroke her and wasn't fazed at all by it. I worked  through the whole class in small groups then I was asked to talk to the whole class about her which I really enjoyed and felt confident in knowing what I was doing was informing the children and I knew the answers to all the questions. I was then asked to take her into another class for more stroking and more questions. I think she enjoyed it but did sleep for quite a while with her being out most of the day. She never bit anyone so I was very proud of her too. She is such a great hamster she is so laid back my little girl who will be 4 next month just gets her out and wonders around with her!! She is followed though by the dog and cats!!

Blogger Picture

Ive just updated my Blogger picture. Hope everyone likes it.
It is of George and Glenda they are Leopard Geckos. I bought George from out of a house that as my partner said you wiped your feet on the way out!! You could feel things under the carpet as you walked it was horrid, beer cans everywhere, it was just ewww!! George's vivarium was the cleanest place in the house!! I was like yep i will take him as i just had to get him out of there no matter what!!!  Glenda on the other hand was from a lad who hadn't been able to get the trio breeding and I just bought her as a companion for George and they are soo sweet together!! I think it's love!! They have had a few eggs but as I haven't got an incubator they have never hatched. Glenda is more outgoing than George as she loves coming out where George is quite happy to stay in his viv. They love nothing more than hoppers, mealworms, salad, water squirted above them (this helps keep the humidity to the right temp and helps them with their shedding too). I do love my Geckos!!!

Fast and Furious 6

We went to see Fast and Furious 6 which came out yesterday at the cinema. The cinema that we chose was one of the best ones I've been to as you are all at different levels so you don't get the head/hair in front of you so you can actually see the whole of the film without interruption which was great!!  I would definitely go to that cinema again!!
Well Fast and Furious 6 was really good but in some places a bit predictable but did have some good twists in it and things you would expect. I wont go into too much detail with it just coming out and spoiling it for others. Some of the cars used were totally amazing and are making me want a fast car again!!! Oops Don't get me wrong my car isn't that slow but it would be nice to have a higher performance one than what i have currently got but insurance and petrol are a pain with the prices forever going up. I will just have to save loads.

What a glorious weekend

The weather has been fabulous for a change this Bank Holiday weekend. We've been able to actually go in the garden and have a big sort out. We've had a great time together as a family. Even Dandelion the rabbit and Logan the guinea-pig have been out in their run on the grass!
I finally put Oreo the baby rabbit and his two guinea-pig girlfriends Mustard and Muffin into there cage outside after spending the winter inside! Oreo is absolutely enjoying being outside and sniffing all the new smells. We just made sure they had plenty of hay and kept them covered so they can acclimatise properly. Logan and Dandelion have come out of the girls playhouse too. So all the bunnies and piggies are out in the sun well were until it decided to rain today!! Oh well at least we managed to get most of the things done we wanted to.
