Strange Weather

Well what funny weather we have had this weekend!!

Where I live alot of people have been stranded and stuck due to the snow. Which was in turn made worse by the wind which turned the snow into drifts which made it really dangerous to travel in over the whole of the weekend. Some drifts were reported as over 5ft high which looked really nice but made even the main roads single lane. I cant remember the snow being like that.  I do love snow just not the havoc it causes you wouldn't think something so innocent looking and soft could cause so much damage and bring the whole of the country to a stand still!!!

At least my guinea pig will be glad he is still in the kids playhouse where it is alot warmer than being just outside unlike my poor bunnies but they are covered and fed lots to keep them all nice and warm.
Well except Oreo who I bought in October time as a tiny baby so was too small to go out so is still inside with his two guinea pig girlfriends.

The cats have been in most of this snowy weather too as I don't really like them being out when its this sort of weather just in case they get a bit lost and its too cold for them (over protective Mummy).

My partner went out with the girls and the dog to see his parents on Sunday in all the snow but to make sure she didn't get too cold she wore my hoody!! Think I need to buy her a new coat as the ones we got her were from when she was a puppy and the cold was too much for her. I think she would need xlarge or even bigger!! I will have to get one like my other dog which is fleece lined and waterproof with a Union Jack on the back and her name in the middle of the flag.

I would love to know what people have, had and would like in the way of pets or furr babies as I know some people call their loved ones as I am doing research into this. I will start off so if you would like to post and put what you have please do so and thank you it's much appreciated.

My Dogs

I have two dogs who are totally amazing with both children, adults and other animals.
There is a 14 year old girl and a 3 year old girl. They are both so loving and yeah they are monsters at times but I wouldn't swap them for the world. The old one I think is going blind and doesn't get around much but still knows what she wants as soon as you get her food bowl she makes sure you feed her by barking at you saying "dinner" and can sniff food out rather quick. The other one likes sitting on the kids trampoline looking what's going off around her as she can see in the neighbours gardens!! They are both such funny characters I don't know how they can get so stereotyped with what breed they are!!!  We took them to the beach for the first time last year and it was so nice just to sit in the sun with them that we are going to do it again this year.  I was determined for them to go last year so that I could say I had taken the old one before it was time to go to the "Rainbow Bridge" for her but thankfully she keeps plodding on surprising us with her ability to carry on regardless!!
She had to be rushed into the vets when she was 11 years old when we had to rush her to the vets as she was very poorly because of me not getting her done even though she was never bred with she got an inflamed uterus so had to have an emergency spade.  She was touch and go whether she would survive as a) the worst one the vet had seen b) her age but no she managed to pull through and make i full recovery. She even kept splitting her wound every time she got out of the car from the vets after her check-up so then had to be taken back to the vets to get rewrapped!!  It was very upsetting to see her this way hence why my other girl has been done!!
They both have copped well with a lot of things like moving as the oldest one has moved four times where the younger one is twice, babies coming into the family, different animals becoming part of the  family too.
So to summarise I love my dogs for being themselves, how well they have coped/cope with everything and wouldn't be without them!!!

Public House meal.

Me, my partner and our little girl went out for a family meal on Saturday. We were really looking forward to filling up ready for our night out. We were seated and ordered within 5/10 minutes. We then had to wait about 45 minutes before we received our food in this time our daughter who is only 3 1/2 was getting very fed up of waiting and was asking us where our food was "as it was taking a long time" as she kept saying!! Yes it was busy so you expect some wait but we were never informed of the wait or even apologised too! I went to ask a member of staff I got told I will see where it is and he went in to the kitchen to check. He then came out with it so I don't know if it was me asking or if it was actually ready and well we were all disappointed as the portion wasn't very big and we were still hungry after but didn't want to order a pudding in case that took along time too. So we left there un-happy and will have second thoughts about going to this place again after having this experience with them!
