My Dogs

I have two dogs who are totally amazing with both children, adults and other animals.
There is a 14 year old girl and a 3 year old girl. They are both so loving and yeah they are monsters at times but I wouldn't swap them for the world. The old one I think is going blind and doesn't get around much but still knows what she wants as soon as you get her food bowl she makes sure you feed her by barking at you saying "dinner" and can sniff food out rather quick. The other one likes sitting on the kids trampoline looking what's going off around her as she can see in the neighbours gardens!! They are both such funny characters I don't know how they can get so stereotyped with what breed they are!!!  We took them to the beach for the first time last year and it was so nice just to sit in the sun with them that we are going to do it again this year.  I was determined for them to go last year so that I could say I had taken the old one before it was time to go to the "Rainbow Bridge" for her but thankfully she keeps plodding on surprising us with her ability to carry on regardless!!
She had to be rushed into the vets when she was 11 years old when we had to rush her to the vets as she was very poorly because of me not getting her done even though she was never bred with she got an inflamed uterus so had to have an emergency spade.  She was touch and go whether she would survive as a) the worst one the vet had seen b) her age but no she managed to pull through and make i full recovery. She even kept splitting her wound every time she got out of the car from the vets after her check-up so then had to be taken back to the vets to get rewrapped!!  It was very upsetting to see her this way hence why my other girl has been done!!
They both have copped well with a lot of things like moving as the oldest one has moved four times where the younger one is twice, babies coming into the family, different animals becoming part of the  family too.
So to summarise I love my dogs for being themselves, how well they have coped/cope with everything and wouldn't be without them!!!
